After threshing, seeds from single plants are stored in labeled envelopes. Envelopes will be organized by variety and will be placed in plastic containers for placement in cold storage. Additional phenotypic data will be obtained on the seeds during the winter months.
A barcode ruler is used to measure the length of a single panicle.
Branching on single panicles has been counted and a barcode scanner is used to enter the number into a spreadsheet for analysis at a later time.
